 | This is my 1979 (or
is it '77) Les Paul Standard. It has Grover tuners, triple-pickup EMG 81's,
and new frets (I hate fat Gibson frets). The guitar originally had yellow
binding (and still does)
with matching trim, but EMG didn't make the 81's in yellow, only black, so I had to buy black trim for it. It looks OK, and it screams! | On the right is my 1983 Yamaha SC-400. It has Mini Schaller tuners, with a DiMarzio Tone Zone humbucker in the bridge position and a 1968 Gibson PAF in the neck position. The single coil in the middle is original Yamaha equipment. It has new frets and assorted other goodies |
